How this
project was born

Seven years ago, in the heart of Putumayo, a dream was born inspired by the desire to relieve the burdens of those facing the most difficult situations. Jaime and his wife Gladis, out of love and commitment, decided to lend a hand to single mothers and senior citizens living in precarious conditions. What began as a simple gesture to support a couple of families became a life mission that today reaches 25 mothers and their children, with the hope of continuing to grow and reach more hearts.

Our work

This project, led with dedication by Jaime and Gladis, seeks to provide essential support at key moments. During the beginning of the school term, uniforms, school supplies and backpacks are delivered to children who would otherwise face barriers to education. At Christmas, magic becomes reality with the delivery of toys, clothes and food that light up the faces of the little ones and create indelible memories for their families.
The process has not been easy, but it has been deeply meaningful. The project has grown thanks to the love and help of caring people, friends and collaborators who join the cause from different corners of Colombia and the world, contributing resources, time and effort. In each on-site event, those who participate in the logistics face great challenges: organizing activities, coordinating transportation, guaranteeing food and ensuring a small payment to the volunteers. All of this is only possible thanks to external support.
Putumayo, a territory of wonderful landscapes but also of enormous inequalities, has many single mothers in need of a helping hand. Their strength is inspiring, but the circumstances they face demand solidarity. Jaime and Gladis, with their example, remind us that when we join forces, we can transform lives and sow hope in the neediest hearts.

Mireya Iglesias, a single mother, and her four children have lost their home due to devastating landslides in Putumayo. Today they need our solidarity to rebuild a safe and dignified space where they can start anew.
